Beautiful antique statue of Guan Yin (Kuan Yin). She is the Chinese goddess of compassion, mercy and prosperity. She hears the cries of the world. Guan Yin is known to protect and offer aid to those menaced by water, demons, fire, or violence. Guan Yin is featured dressed in her royal attire in the ‘thousand arm pose’. Her hands carry weapons, vessels of holy water, food and sweet desserts. This pose calms fears, offers mercy, peace, compassion and aid. Origin: Thailand, Material: bronze.
