Exclusive Maryse Ducaire Original Oil on Canvas Framed

Beautiful 'Nude' oil on canvas by Maryse Ducaire. Maryse Ducaire-Rogue was born in 1911. She was a pupil of Emmanuel Fougerat and a graduate of the National College of Decorative Arts in Paris. As a French impressionist artist she was best known for her paintings of female nudes and signed her name 'M. Ducaire'. She exhibited her work at numerous exhibitions in Paris, including the Salon des Artistes Indépendants where she became a member, the Salon des Artistes Français where she won a gold medal, the Salon d'Automne and the Salon Comparaisons. She also had solo exhibitions in Paris, Aurillac, Lyons, Grenoble and New York, and was made a Chevalier of the Légion d'Honneur, one of France's highest honors for artists. Ducaire died in 1992.
