This handcrafted wooden and brass compass is a detailed reproduction of the navigation tools used during the historic Lewis and Clark Expedition from 1804 to 1806. Measuring approximately 3 inches wide, it features a fully functional magnetic needle for precise navigation, along with a rotating bezel and clear markings for easy use. Made from rosewood with brass components, the compass reflects the craftsmanship of early 19th-century exploration equipment. The Lewis and Clark Expedition, commissioned by President Thomas Jefferson, played a key role in mapping the western United States.
