Stupendous 2.53ct untreated semi-black Welo Opal

This piece is covered in rolling red, green and golden flashing that glows in a mix of ribbon and floral paterns through its semi-black body. It has a fancy cabochon cut measuring 11.6mm x 8.6mm x 5.3mm making it perfect for setting, and has a high polished liquid luster. Sourced from Welo, Ethiopia. Although the color is toasted, this opal is unheated.
