1794 Framed Map of the State of Virginia

Antique  Framed 1794  map of Virginia by Samuel Lewis, engraved for the Carey's American Edition of Guthries Geography showing topographical detail of mountains and rivers, the "Northwestern Territory" lying north of the Ohio River, Islands in the Chesapeake Bay and the Federal City of Washington. Nicely framed to 24 inches by 19 1/2 inches. Map shows some discoloration and folds but overall in good condition consistent with its age.
