Biography: The great master artist of the 20th Century, Pablo Picasso, was born on October 25, 1881 in Malaga, Spain. It is said that no man has more radically changed the nature of art. During his incredible life, Picasso mastered the art of painting, etching, engraving, dry point, woodcuts, lithographs, mezzotints, linocuts and aquatints. Picasso is shown in most museums of modern art worldwide. He is included in great public and private collections throughout the world. Along with the artist Braque, Picasso invented Cubism in the early 20th Century.
Collectors acquire Picasso's works today in three categories: (1) originals and pencil signed prints, (2) plate or stone-signed prints, (3) works selected from the personal collection inherited by daughter Madam Marina Picasso. These unique works of art were created after the original oils of Picasso on hand-drawn lithographic plates, supervised by the legendary octogenarian Marcel Salinas, Picasso's trusted lifelong chromist.
