Biography: Perhaps the most recognized name in art for all times is the name of Salvador Dali.  Born in Spain in 1904, Dali became a controversial figure surrounded by a distinct aura of myth. He embraced Surrealism in the late 20's and defined this popular art form. In fact, he made the Surrealism Movement synonymous with the name of Salvador Dali. His dream state visions concentrated on eroticism and literary mysticism as viewed through the Surrealism looking glass. During his lifetime mastered all of the art forms on canvas and paper, as well as sculpture and the cinema.
